The Majura Festival - A Full Weekend of Entertainment
The 2006 Majura Festival will operate in Wooley St. Dickson over the March long
weekend (March 17 and 18). A diverse range of entertainment will be presented
throughout the weekend, to celebrate the many and varied skills and past-times
here in the inner north of Canberra.
Come and enjoy the highlights of this years festival.
Night Market
Featuring Brechin, Wilkinson & Taylor (Scotland), Drumassault, Troupe Dart,
Mira Hamsa Academy of Eastern Dance, ZIP, Ngambri Aboriginal Dancers, Warehouse
Circus, Milo The Clown, Fire Dragon, Terry the Great, Skye (trapeze), UDO, Tony
Farrell and more!

Haiku Walk
Join the Haiku Walk up Mount Majura. A relaxing bush walk while learning how to
write haiku poetry.

Walk On Water - Megalo Exhibition Opening
An exhibition opening of works inspired by the history and environment of Lake
George, presented by Megalo Access Arts in association with the Weereewa.

Festival Bush Dance
To close the Festival join us for a bush-dance in the Majura Centre Hall.
Featuring the Monaro Folk Society BIG BAND! Led by Bob Hodgson with performances
by the Bush Dancers Display Group, and a lucky door prize!
Saturday 18th from 8pm-11pm. Cost $8/$6, supper available.
The Majura Festival is currently looking for stall holders and volunteers
leading up to and for the event.
